Glass Lampwork & me: My love of glass goes back many years. For my birthdays and Christmas presents, I was always delighted to open the packaging, and see a shiny Troll bead, or Pandora bead. One birthday I was treated to a lesson in how they are made, I was hooked. I invested in all the equipment required to melt glass, and for the last 16 years I have been creating my own glassy treasures. Flame, Glass, Time, are what is required, lots of time and patience.
Molten Glass: (Glass Lampwork) All of the pieces I create start out as Italian glass rods, these rods are held in the flame until molten, I then work with the molten glass to create the things you see.
Quality: All my finished pieces are of the highest quality. The process I use, which includes annealing in the kiln, ensures the glass is strong and durable. I use high quality sterling silver findings to finish my pieces. All my glassy creations are polished, carefully wrapped in tissue paper, then placed into an eco friendly gift bag.
